UID Labels - MIL-STD-130N

UID Labels - MIL-STD-130N

Over 90% of US Army & Navy contracts include IUID clauses!
Over 8 million items in the IUID Registry!

The Department of Defense (DoD) has set out a specific mandate which requires the unique item marking of its property. This includes property already in storage or even in the field, through to new products that are being manufactured and supplied.

To fully understand your marking responsibilities as a supplier to the DoD you should be-aware of the official IUID mandate. This mandate outlines the criteria for how, when and where products should be marked. The DoD has also produced a guidance document which gives you the item marking criteria, MIL-STD-130N.

After two years of development UID UK have brought to the market a highly cost effective marking solution that passes all the criteria set out in the latest MIL standard. Also, as part of our development programme we have worked very closely with Siemens on the verification of the labels, as every label produced must be verified.

The Label
  • UID UK manufactures their labels in anodised aluminium which allows the labels to be placed in the most hostile of environments.
  • We can also provide the labels with a number of different fixing options to suit your own application
  • Each order despatched will have a verification certificate showing the grade of the labels against the current MIL specification. UID UK use and are happy to supply Microscan verifiers. These verifiers are naturally UID compliant and can verify Data Matrix symbols marked by dot peen, laser etch and ink jet on materials such as metal, plastic and rubber. For more information check the Verification page.

So remember, When the Mark Matters call UID UK.
